Jump to navigationJump to searchA peasant girl (real name Aniuta) whose singing inspires a revolution against the Czar in the 1925 stage operetta (and 1930 movie musical) Song of the Flame. Tessa Kosta played the Flame on stage; on film, she was played by Bernice Claire. The film, which has apparently been lost, is more famous nowadays for being preceded by the first-ever Looney Tunes short.
