Takata is a rock singer from Kim Harrison's urban fantasy alternate history Hollows series of novels. His songs include "Footprint of the Ghost," "The Long Breath," "Shattered Sigh," and "Red Ribbons," which introduces the idea of a "vamp track," or an alternate version of a song only the true undead can hear (living vamps can't hear it unless they're a scion).

Protagonist of the series, Rachel Morgan, is both a fan and a friend of Takata.

The character first appeared in the second novel in the series, The Good, The Bad, and The Undead, 2005.
