Fake rock band from humor columnist Erma Bombeck's "Stone age versus rock age" column, as compiled in the 1971 book "Just wait till you have children of your own!"
My daughter rushed to my side. "Gosh Mom, You're all uptight. You need something to soothe you."
She flipped on a transistor whose decibels nearly paralyzed me, put it under my pillow, and left. I spent the night sitting up straight in bed and listening to amplified belches by the Sickies.
