The Quietschbeus are a band from the German puppet television series Hallo Spencer. They are the resident band of the show's fictional town of "Spencerdorf" (in engl. Spencerville), and consist of Karl-Heinz, Karl-Gustav, and Karl-Otto.
The Quietschbeus appear (and play) in every of the show's 275 episodes and some specials, as well as some audio plays and a short-lived comic series.
Meaning of the name
Their German name Quietschbeus is derived from the "Beach Boys". In the American version of the series, they are renamed The Screech Boys. Bandleader Karl-Heinz's (speaking with a strong Hessian dialect in the original) name is also changed to "Frankie."
