Goofy, unassuming, yet cool-as-a-cucumber criminal who always speaks in rhyme from "The Menace of the Minstrel" story of comic book Golden Lad #4 (April 1946).

He shows up at an antique store, talks his way into a free long-necked lute, and skedaddles. Then he talks his way into a jail by offering his services as a musical therapist, but then breaks three of the toughest convicts out at gunpoint, and then uses them as his criminal gang for a string of robberies.

Superhero Golden Lad defeats him after interrupting his attempt to rob the high society annual Vanderswink Masquerade Ball.
