Death metal karaoke-singing red panda Sanrio mascot? Yes, death metal karaoke-singing red panda Sanrio mascot! Originally a series of 100 one-minute animated shorts on the Tokyo Broadcasting System in 2016, in 2018 it was turned into an animated Netflix television series Aggretsuko (aka Aggressive Retsuko; Japanese: アグレッシブ烈子).
Retsuko is a Hello Kitty-style red panda who works a terrible accounting job with a literal pig for a boss. To deal with the crushing stress, each night she goes to a karaoke bar and rage-sings her guts out to death metal.
