Famous opera singer who gets drafted into the Army from the 1952 film Because You're Mine; played by real opera star Mario Lanza. Fortunately, his sergeant, "Bat" Batterson (James Whitmore), is not only a fan, but keen to get his sister Bridget Batterson (Doretta Morrow) in opera.
