Classical music group from Mars that play the fictional instrument, the clavichrome, in the 2011 science fiction novel Farthest Reef by Karl Kofoed. They are only mentioned in passing, as backing up Nium Spruance.
The instrument was first featured in the works of S. P. Somtow, and probably used by Kofoed as a tribute.
He thought of the music now playing both inside and out, Nium Spruance's live performance of Ode to Joy 3000 with the Martian Clavichrome Ensemble.
