Jump to navigationJump to searchIslamic punk band (taqwacore) from California, in the 2003 novel The Taqwacores by Michael Muhammed Knight. They travel to Buffalo, NY to play a climactic taqwacore show.
The novel was turned into a 2010 film, The Taqwacores.
The Eight from the tribe of Ukil are in Hadith 4:261. After enjoying the hospitality of a shepherd, they murder him, and the prophet Muhammed has them put to a slow death.
