Wendell "Mucho" Maas is the husband of protagonist Oedipa Maas and a DJ at radio station KCUF out of fictional Kinneret-Among-The-Pines, California, near San Narciso, in Thomas Pynchon's 1965 novel The Crying of Lot 49.

They sponsor record hops at local high schools.
