John C. Reilly plays this hard-living rock star in the 2007 mockumentary Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Following a string of hits in the 1950s and 1960s, Cox befriends everyone from the Beatles to Elvis, takes tons of drugs, hosts a 1970s TV show, marries three times, fathers 22 kids, and ends up a national treasure.
Much of the film is a parody of the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.
