Classical violinist and composer from the "Crimes Set to Music" multi-part story in DC comic book All-Star Comics #19 (Winter 1943-44). Hero Starman helps him defeat goons who want his valuable Stradivarius violin. Nelson has an odd psychological quirk- he can only compose on that particular violin, so it's extra important to him.
Nelson was targeted by Hector Bauer, a former childhood friend who blamed his lack of success in music on Nelson and his other friends.
In a flashback we see he got his Strad from his mentor, maestro Albert Palini.
