Roughneck Downbeat Combo

Jazz combo Mentioned in Robert A. Heinlein's 1959 military sci-fi novel Starship Troopers. It consists of members of the Mobile Infantry's Rasczak's Roughnecks. The band featured Sergeant Johnson (trumpet) "leading them mellow and sweet for hymns or tearing the steel right off the bulkheads, as the occasion required."
