Jewish Swiss nightclub pianist in R.W. Fassbinder's 1981 film Lili Marleen. He meets his love, Willie, a singer, in the club, but they are forced apart. He becomes part of the resistance.

He survives the war and goes on to become a successful orchestra conductor.
