In "Panic on the Streets of Springfield," the 18 Apr. 2020 episode of long-running animated comedy The Simpsons, Lisa Simpson gets an imaginary friend, "a depressed British singer from the 1980s" who used to front The Snuffs. The character, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, is a thinly veiled parody of real musician Morrissey, with perhaps a soupçon of the Cure's Robert Smith. At the end of the episode, we meet the real Quilloughby, a fat, xenophobic disappointment.

Needless to say, Morrissey thought that joke wasn't funny anymore.
