International singing sensation Pedro Paloma features in the "Lifeguards" miniseries of the Sweet Valley University series; a sequel series to the Sweet Valley High series of young adult novels. Beginning with SVU #21, For the Love of Ryan (1996), he has a whirlwind romance with Wendy Wolman, to the disbelief of everyone in Sweet Valley except Winston Egbert (who hooked them up to begin with).
