From the 1956 comedy film The Girl Can't Help It. Mobbed up slot machine magnate Marty "Fats" Murdock (Edmond O'Brien) hires on-the-skids agent Tom Miller (Tom Ewell) to hype his ditzy, talentless girlfriend Jerri Jordan (Jayne Mansfield) into a singing star. Jerri Jordan isn't her real name, Fats picked it, cause "it'll look good in lights."

Miller gets her to record "Rock Around the Rock Pile," backed up by Ray Anthony and his band, where all she has to do is scream on cue. Later, it turns out she can sing, but she just wants to be a mother and wife, not a star, and she ends up with Miller.

The other gag is that Miller ands up turning Marty "Fats" Murdock into a singing star.

The film features performances by lots of real acts: Little Richard, Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps, The Treniers, etc.
