Joke on real band Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians from the animated Warner Bros. short "Porky at the Crocadero" (1938). Their singer is Cryman Lombago.
Porky wants to be a bandleader at the swanky Crocadero, a parody of real Los Angeles hot spot Cafe Trocadero. He's lucky to get a job washing dishes there. But when all the famous guest bandleaders can't make it, the manager gets Porky to impersonate them.
