Minor character who joins protagonist Gil Blas on his adventures at the beginning of the 1715 French picaresque novel L'Histoire de Gil Blas de Santillane by Alain-René Lesage.

Originally "un petit Chantre de Mondonnedo;" Mondoñedo is a small town in Spain.
