This band was in the film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure where "Ted" Theordore Logan played by Keanu Reeves and Bill S. Preston Esquire played by Alex Winter.
Rufus who is played by George Carlin travels back through time to 1988 from 2688 to keep "Ted" Theordore Logan and Bill S. Preston Esquire remain together to form the band "Wyld Stallyns", whose music will become the core of the future's Utopian society.
