Knockoff of Alvin and the Chipmunks with a Christian twist. Country music person Floyd Robinson, creator of similarly-styled Charlie the Hamster, later created and recorded an album as this singing rodent. While Charlie the Hamster albums came out on Zondervan, this album came out on well-known Christian label Word Records.

Robinson had some real chart successes in 1958 and 1959 with "Little Space Girl" and "Makin' Love."

Woody Woodchuck seems to be a completely different marmota monax than the Woody the Woodchuck that recorded the Christmas Sing Song album on Premier Albums, Inc.
