Walker and Borden Young Romance.png

Song and dance team nightclub act from the "A Torch Song for Danny" story of romance comic book Young Romance vol. 9, no. 1 (#79, Oct-Nov 1955).

Danny Walker and Madge Borden are playing at Duval's Den, when he has to let them go because business is bad, because Broadway columnist Bob Spencer did a hatchet job on them. Spencer is in love with Borden, and wants her to break up with Walker. When Walker punches Spencer, he makes it so they can't get work anywhere. They break up, and each goes solo. Borden gets a job, and lets Spencer woo her. He heaps praise on her in his column, helping her career. But she still carries a torch for Walker.

Borden tracks down Walker to get back together, but Spencer sees them and it looks like he's going to torpedo her burgeoning career. But Spencer has a change of heart, and praises their duo and Duval's Den. Borden and Walker get married happily ever after, the end.
