Promising young classical violinist at Chicago's Milano Music Institute who is strangled to death by his roommate Freddie after Vromik wins a violin competition and Freddie doesn't.
Freddie was under the influence of the cursed violin of Romany fiddler Gyori Misklova, who was hanged in 1527. Vromik's first name is not given, but with a last name like that, do you even need one?!
