Title character of the confusing story "The Fighter Who Sang Tenor" in crime comic book Exposed, vol. 1, no. 6 (Jan.-Feb. 1949).

He's a boxer who also sings opera, hoping to save up for a concert debut. Unfortunately, Pike Edwards, crooked boxing manager of champ Joe Rooney sets Marino up. He fixes all of Marino's fights so Marino wins too easy. Then when Marino faces Rooney, he's pummeled easily.

Then Edwards takes off for Mexico with the money and Rooney's gold-digger girlfriend Mimi. Tony can take some consolation in the boxing commission banning Rooney for life, due to the fixed fights.
