Not for cash, but for supplies. His mistake is getting too interested in the local high school band who rehearses at the store and forcing them to play, and revealing he's a songwriter, and then of course playing one of HIS songs, and and pretty soon it's not like he threatened them with a gun at all! Heck, it wasn't even loaded! A little encouragement goes a long way, and later, Tom's mailed them his new headshot, and the news that he's writing music for a television series. And all thanks to the powerful connections of that major Hollywood playah, Gary Crosby.
