Running characters Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey), from Saturday Night Live also hosted an MTV special in 1991 or early 1992.

They sing Garth's song "Pain Cave", apparently from their album I Hear the Trees are Crying on Tentpole Records, a subsidiary of Shwing Productions.
