Funny animal comic book parody of real band The Talking Heads. To maintain continuity, Marvel sticks things into different alternate universes. The Earth populated entirely by cartoon animals is called Earth-8311, and is filled with wonderfully mediocre animal puns like this one, and Mick Jaguar.
The Squawking Heads were mentioned in Peter Porker, The Spectacular Spider-Ham, #16 (July 1987). Peter Porker's girlfriend, Mary Jane Waterbuffalo is a big fan, she has a poster of them and says: "This Stop Making Nests soundtrack by The Squawking Heads is awesome! David Bird's voice just reeks of contemporary avian angst."
