Recording pseudonym of real band Nirvana for the In Utero album sessions with Steve Albini at Pachyderm Recording Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota in 1993.

It's a punk rock in-joke; "Simon Ritchie" was the real name of Sex Pistols' bassist Sid Vicious.
