The Oreos

In the 1976 remake of the classic 1937 film, A Star is Born, the characters are changed from actors to musicians. Barbra Streisand plays the rising up and comer, Esther Hoffman. She performs in this, her singing group with two African American women, (played by Venetta Fields and Clydie King), hence the name. Get it? She falls for falling rock star John Norman Howard (Kris Kristofferson) for some unfathomable reason.
