Their name is also given as The Juicyfruits. From the 1974 movie Phantom of the Paradise. They are a nostalgia greaser/1950s rock 'n' roll band on music mogul Swan's Death Records label. They sing "Goodbye, Eddie, Goodbye" - a song about... a fictional singer named Eddie Mitty. Wow, meta!

Later, they've evolved into an early Beach Boys-like surf group. Weirdly, the credits list them as The Beach Bums, but all of the characters in the film are still calling them The Juicyfruits. The Phantom attempts to blow them up, since they are ruining the music he wrote and Swan stole.

Played by Archie Hahn, Jeffrey Comanor, and Peter Elbling. Archie Hahn also did the actual lead vocal. He also had a bit part in This Is Spinal Tap.
