From the "Rockumentary" story in the comic book Elseworlds 80-Page Giant #1 (August 1999). A work that was notoriously recalled and destroyed by the publisher, DC Comics, after concerns about a different story showing baby Superman in a microwave oven.

The story is a VH1 Behind The Music style documentary about the history of famous music producer Lex Luthor. The gimmick of the story is that all the superheroes are not superheroes, but musical acts. By Bronwyn Carlton, Greg Luzniak, and Anibal Rodriguez.

The Heroes are Lex's first band, a take on the Beatles.

Lineup

  • Clark Kent (Superman)
  • Arthur Curry (Aquaman)
  • Ollie Queen (Green Arrow)
  • Barry Allen (The Flash)

Clark leaves the group to record experimental duets with his girlfriend, ala John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He also later dies tragically.
