Teen duo with high hopes and drama from the 1975 novel New York City Too Far From Tampa Blues, turned into an NBC Special Treat (afterschool special) with the same title (airdate 20 February 1979).
Tom (Alex Paez) and Aurelio (John Femia) are not brothers, but a pair of New York inner city kids.
A sequel novel, T.H.U.M.B.B. (1983) has them forming another band.
