Musical instrument invented by JoJo McDodd, a Who of Whoville, from the 2008 Dr. Seuss film Horton Hears a Who! A massive, building-sized, Rube-Goldbergian contraption with many moving parts, when activated, it pumps air through horns, plays musical saws with bows, rings massive bells, pounds enormous kettledrums, and sends metal balls to chime metal ladder rungs like a xylophone. JoJo had been building it secretly out of odds and ends for some time.
The instrument is not in the original 1954 book.
