In the 2001 flick, Jackpot, would-be singer Sunny (Jon Gries) abandons his wife and kid to travel the karaoke circuit in the American West with his manager Lester Irving (Garrett Morris), trying to build up a fanbase so Sunny will poised to be a big pop hit.
