Stobrod Thewes

Violin player, singer, and Confederate deserter from the 2003 film Cold Mountain. He's teamed up with banjo player Pangle and singer "Georgia" (Jack White).

He's the no-good father of hard-working Ruby Thewes (Renée Zellweger), but claims to have reformed thanks to music. He runs afoul of the Home Guard, but survives.

Played by Brendan Gleeson.
