In the "Jenny Ward, Slate's Old Flame" episode (August 27, 1951) of syndicated radio drama series Bold Venture, series regular Sailor (Lauren Bacall) is thrown over and kicked out by boyfriend and salty seadog Slate Shannon (Humphrey Bogart). She has to get a job singing to make ends meet, debuting at the Club Flamingo in seedy, pre-Castro Havana, Cuba. She sings "Don't Sing Those Sad Songs To Me."
