Gletz Rudy Horrific.png

Ambitious trumpet player from the "Horn of Horror" story of Comic Media comic book Horrific #11 (May 1954). While at a party thrown by a wealthy collector of musical instruments, Gletz is spurned by his girlfriend for being a loser. Testing out a trumpet once belonging to serial killer/talented trumpeter The Cajun Man, he is possessed/haunted/badgered by the dead man's spirit. Given a supernatural boost in the talent department, Gletz goes from "Unheard of six months ago, and now leader of the greatest band in the country!"

But he has to murder to keep the The Cajun Man's spirit happy and the talent flowing. He finally gets caught and hanged.

The plot is suspiciously similar to an earlier story, "Death Drum," in comic book Adventures into Darkness #7 (December 1952).
