Broadway actress/singer Christine Andreas plays this country singer/neglectful mom in the "Abuse" episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (first aired 26 Jan. 2001). Austin is married to faded hair metal star Jared Black.
Fun fake band connection: One of the kids that Austin and Black neglect is played by Hayden Panettiere. Eleven years later she began starring as country singer Juliette Barnes in Nashville.
