Rock star popular with Dell comic book teenager Ponytail. He appeared in several Ponytail(1962-1965) comic books:

  • "The Rickey Rock Story" story, issue #4, October-December 1963. It tells his backstory as a hick hog caller in Elbo County, then being discovered Abominable Records Co. talent scout Tonedef.
  • "Hootin' with the Rockston Trio starring Rickey Rock" story of issue #7. Rickey's jumped genres from an Elvis-type to front a folky Kingston Trio-type band.
  • "The Sheriff of Hulley Gulley" story, issue #9, January-March 1965. Rickey's shooting a movie cast as a singing cowboy.
  • "Monster Mash" story, issue #10, April-June 1965. Ponytail pulls out one of his albums in one panel.

Probably appeared in some others.
