Singer only mentioned by the host (Eric Idle) of The Old Gay Whistle Test, a parody of real British music television series, The Old Grey Whistle Test. It's a skit on the "Rutland Weekend Whistle Test" episode (2 June, 1975) of Rutland Weekend Television, Eric Idle's post-Python BBC sketch comedy television series.
