None other than Malcolm McDowell played this decadent, self-indulgent, Mick Jagger-like rock star in the 1983 movie Get Crazy (aka Flip Out). McDowell does a surprisingly good job doing his own singing on "Hot Shot!" Later in the movie he has a heart-to-heart chat with his penis.
His backup band is played by an interesting mix of real musicians:
- Toad, drums (John Densmore of real band The Doors)
- bassist (Derf Scratch of real band Fear)
- guitarist (Coati Mundi of real band Kid Creole & The Coconuts)
- keyboardist (Jonathan Melvoin, who later toured with The Smashing Pumpkins)
