One-hit wonder from the New Wave era of the early 1980s from the BBC series Parents of the Band. His spot-on single, "I Cry" was co-written by him and real New Waver Gary Kemp, of Spandau Ballet. The band's name may be Klink, based on a platinum record hanging on his wall.

Phil's teen son Jack has an amateur band, and Dad is way, way too into it.
