A hi-tech musical instrument that "combines musical tones with holographic patterns," thus producing lava-lamp-like imagery as well as music. From the "Blood of Patriots" episode (March 7, 2019) of Star Trek series The Orville. It's demonstrated by Xelayan native and The Orville's Chief of Security, Talla Keyali.

The musical part resembles a Mbira/kalimba/African thumb piano in appearance and tone.
