P.D.Q. Bach (1807-1742{?}), the wacky fake fictional 21st son of Johann Sebastian Bach, is actually the brainchild of Peter Schickele (a real composer who went to Julliard with Glenn Gould and everything!). Mr. Schickele has put out over a dozen albums of P. D. Q.'s music since the sixties.
