From the fictional history Historical Documents of the Irish Avant-Garde, by Dr. Jennifer Walshe. AKA Patrick Murray, this Irish bagpiper was born in New York City in 1924 to two Irish immigrants. He and his mother moved back to Ireland in 1950 after the death of his father, who taught him the bagpipes.

A previously unknown 1952 recording of him with Dáithí Ó Cinnéide and Eamon Breathnach, playing in his odd minimalist, avant-garde style he called dordán popped up in 2009, and attracted academic interest.

He died in 1992.
