Custom-built steam calliope at the Circus McGurkus, from the 1956 Dr. Seuss children's book If I Ran the Circus. It's played by circus owner Morris McGurk himself in the opening parade, drawn by camels and mounted on an alligator or crocdile. McGurk plays "Dixie."
