Band that used to be famous, but that's according to a record-store-haunting, vinyl-junkie dad, so adjust your expectations accordingly. From the 2016 graphic novel Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier. The teen protagonist's family moves to the ghost-infested Northern California town of Bahía de la Luna where former band guitarist Javier Calaveras lives a comfortable suburban family existence with his wife Leona and teen son Carlos, an amateur guitar player.
Señor Calaveras is later seen playing in a traditional mariachi band in a Día de Muertos celebration, jamming with actual ghosts.
The band's name is a joke on real 1980s band Mister Mister.
