Folk singer managed by agent Barry Golden from the 1980 show biz novel The Boys in the Mail Room by Iris Rainer. She wins a Grammy for best female vocalist, beating out Lita Collins.

One of his female stars, a folk singer named Minnie Kahn, wrote and recorded a hit song called "Brooklyn Boy," and it was the story of Golden's life. Everyone in the business knew him. He was a kind of a star in his own right.
