Inbred redneck hick kid who's a whiz on the banjo, from the famous "Dueling Banjos" scene in the 1972 film Deliverance. Played by Billy Redden. He jammed out with city slicker amateur guitar player Drew (Ronny Cox)

Lonnie lives in North Georgia on the fictional Cahulawassee River.

The song "Dueling Banjos" (originally “Feuding Banjos,” 1954) was used in the film without composer Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith's permission, resulting in a successful lawsuit. The movie's version went to #2 for four weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973.
