Pop band fronted by teen idol David Sterling. Creatively stifled by his bubblegum persona, he changed his name to Dirk Hopeless and formed punk band Undertow.

From the backstory for the Hopeless Savages comic book series by Jen Van Meter and Christine Norrie. It was first published by Oni Press in 2002.

Dirk's wife Nikki Savage is also a musician. His daughter Skank Zero, is in The Dusted Bunnies.
